Acupuncture and Fertility Acupuncture

Dan graduated with a BSc (Hons) in acupuncture from the University of Westminster, London after three years’ study in 2008 and has been in full-time practice since.

He additionally studied traditional Chinese therapeutic bodywork (Tui Na) for six months and Chinese herbal medicine for two years at the Shulan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Manchester under Professor Shulan Tang.

He is a member of BMAS and therefore some private insurances may cover the cost for certain acupuncture treatments.

Before becoming an acupuncturist Dan lived and worked in Taiwan for five years where he encountered the effectiveness and comprehensive nature of traditional medicine. He was so impressed with it that upon his move to the UK he decided to study it and make it his career.

Approach:

“I use an integrated approach, blending the wisdom of ancient Eastern medicine with modern evidence-based insight, effectively using the best of both worlds.

Treatments are tailored to the individual needs and preferences of the patient. They may include acupuncture; therapeutic body work; traditional Eastern physical and/or breathing exercises; nutritional and lifestyle advice; and, if the patient would benefit from it, traditional herbal prescriptions (no animal or mineral products).

The first treatment will always include an in-depth consultation where I will really listen to the patient’s story and what they have to say. This way I can really understand their situation and offer the most helpful assistance.

I strongly believe in treating the person not the disease and aim to provide highly supportive personalised care in a calm and therapeutic environment. The level of trust my patients invest in me is a big responsibility and I feel very privileged to be part of their journey.”
